CMPOUND was co-founded by Stefan Merrison and Conor Merrison. Conor is a producer and songwriter and a former recording artist. Both of us deliver sessions ourselves — we're in the room, every week.
CMPOUND is governed by a board of three directors, the majority of whom are independent of the founders. We are a limited company currently converting to a Community Interest Company, with an asset lock in place through our articles of association.
To promote, advance and support music education and the creative arts for children, young people and communities in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas — with particular focus on those facing social, economic or other barriers to accessing the arts.
